Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose : Opposites Attract

She is the oomph queen who likes to stay in the limelight, flaunt her assets and relish the compliments on her sex appeal. He, on the other hand, is an intellectual, arty type who likes to keep a low profile. What happens when these two opposites meet?

Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose make an unlikely pair, not only in their latest movie Pyar Ke Side Effects but also in real life.

While any two co-stars usually groove in just for the sake of their professionalism, there is more than that to the friendship between Mallika and Rahul.

It may take some people by surprise how well Mallika and Rahul have been getting along despite the fact that their personalities and opinions are as different as chalk and cheese.

Rahul is a man who spends avid time reading books (Shakespeare, James Joyce et al) and enjoying sports, while Mallika has a knack of staying in the media headlines because of her outspokenness and other obvious reasons.

Rahul has so far ruled out the possibility of marriage in his lifetime, while Mallika has made it clear that she would settle down only with a man who will take “very good care” of her.

The two share many more contrasting views and yet whenever they are together they are full of pranks and jokes. They pull each other’s leg and even bicker. But it is all in good spirit.

Rahul says what he likes the most about Mallika is her down-to-earth attitude. Bose even goes to say that he hasn’t come across any other actress who was “so void of pretences” as Mallika is, in his opinion.

Mallika says she finds Rahul “very patient”. Whenever, while shooting together, Mallika forgot her dialogues or missed the cue, Rahul would be patient and guide her.

Besides these goody-goody compliments, Mallika and Rahul do not spare each other the barbs as well.

Mallika says she hates Rahul’s “moody nature”. Rahul, on the other hand, says he hates Mallika’s body, which, in his opinion, needs working out.
