Prem, a character that was essayed so many times by Sooraj Barjatya’s lucky mascot Salman Khan , will now be portrayed by Shahid Kapur .
Bollywood’s youngest heartthrob Shahid will be very soon seen as ‘Prem’ in Sooraj Barajatya’s upcoming flick Vivah . Like his previous movies, Sooraj is once again bringing a total family drama in his soon-to-be-released movie.
‘Vivah’ is a love story that traces the relationship of a couple, Shahid and Amrita Rao , from engagement to marriage.
In the movie, Shahid will be seen as a smart and trendy Delhi guy and Amrita will be seen portraying a simple traditional girl Poonam from Madhupur.
The film also features Sameer Soni, Anupam Kher, Alok Nath and Seema Biswas.
This movie can provide the much-needed boost to Shahid’s acting career that has so far stayed afloat, thanks to the relative success of 36 China Town and Chup Chup Ke early this year. Amrita Rao, too, has had a fairly lacklustre year with her last release, Pyare Mohan , biting the dust at the box-office.
‘Vivah’ is also crucial to Rajshree Films as it has been more than a decade when Sooraj Barjatya’s last movie tasted success.
‘Vivah’ is slated to release in November this year.
