Rumours have it that the much-talked-about flick Ram Gopal Varma Ki Sholay , which is going on the floors this month, will have the song ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba’ sung by Amitabh Bachchan .
According to the latest industry buzz, composer Himesh Reshammiya and Big B will be recording a promotional video song ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba’ for Ram Gopal Varma’s modern remake of Sholay . The song will feature Himesh and Big B.
However, the item song on which Urmila Matondkar is going to tap her feet will be sung by none other than Asha Bhosle . The original ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba’ of 1975 ‘Sholay’ features the queen of 70’s disco Helen .
Except Basanti the whole cast of Ramu’s film has been finalized. Amitabh Bachchan will be playing Gabbar Singh, Ajay Devgan will be seen as Veeru, Mohit Ahlawat as the quiet Jai. Katrina Kaif will portray the widow Radha, Mohan Lal will be Thakur and Sushant Singh will essay the role of Gabbar’s henchman Sambha.
Ramu is aiming to start the shooting this month but the void called Basanti is still to be filled.
