Bollywood’s noted director Ram Gopal Varma prefers sensual girls over simple looking ladies for his flicks.
“I don't like simple girls anymore,” a newspaper quoted RGV as saying. Ramu has made around 30 films and his flicks are known to be different from the routine Hindi movie. According to Ramu, a lady should be sensual and must have a sex-appeal in her.
“My perception about a woman has changed over the years, she has to be sensual and have the oomph factor,” said Ramu.
However, Ramu’s latest release Shiva could not create any magic on the box-office and turned out to be a big flop.
Nishabd revolves around the theme that while the body ages, feelings don't. It is inspired by Vladimir Nabokov's famous novel ‘Lolita’.
Varma says that the characters in his flick “are driven by love, not sexual obsession”.
The film is a tale of an old man who falls in love with a young girl. The shooting of the film is complete and it will supposedly release later this year.
Now Ramu is busy in starting his dream project Ram Gopal Varma Ki Sholay , which is a re-make of Ramesh Sippy’s super-hit ‘Sholay’. However, according to Varma his flick would not be a frame-to-frame remake of the yesteryear’s ‘Sholay’, rather he will serve something different to his audiences. Ramu aims to release his dream project early in 2007.
