Aarti Chabria may not be a big name in Bollywood. But the comely girl has indeed carved a little niche for herself in the industry.

Sadly, Aarti has not had a single hit movie or a notable performance to boast of. Her performances in films like Shaadi No. 1 , Ssukh and Teesri Aankh have been utterly forgettable.

But Aarti struggles on, hoping for fame and deserved recognition some day. The good thing is that she has “learned from past mistakes” and is now trusting her own instincts in choosing her acting assignments rather than taking other people’s advice.

Today, Aarti has many plum projects down south, but one Bollywood movie she is looking forward to is Apoorva Lakhia’s Shootout At Lokhandwala .

The film has Aarti playing the real-life role of Mumbai’s famous bar girl Tarannum.

Aarti says her role in the film has many shades. She has even visited dance bars in the past, although it was for another project. But that experience has come handy now for ‘Shootout’.

Aarti says Tarannum in reality is a conservative Muslim girl who commands lot of respect from her peers.

‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’ is based on the real life encounter between Mumbai police and gangsters from underworld at Mumbai’s Lokhandwala complex in 1992. The film has a predominant male star cast.

Besides this Bollywood film, Aarti is doing a Telugu and a Kannada film.
