Fun and work go hand in hand during 'Cash' shoot

Director Anubhav Sinha and producer Sohail Maklai know how to mix work with fun while shooting their film.

The duo is shooting their next movie Cash in Cape Town, South Africa. The film is a thriller starring a host of actors including Ajay Devgan , Zayed Khan , Esha Deol , Ritesh Deshmukh , Shamita Shetty , Sunil Shetty and Dia Mirza .

There has been tremendous camaraderie between the actors and the director and producer ever since the movie went on the floors.

Firstly, the producer had Zayed and Ritesh dye their hair blonde for their roles in the film. In return, the two actors did not spare Maklai (the producer). They compelled him to colour his hair too.

Later, when the shooting was in its hectic schedule, director Anubhav Sinha surprised the movie’s cast one day when he invited the South African cricket team’s captain Graeme Smith on the sets one day. Smith met Ajay Devgan and Esha Deol. But it was Zayed and Ritesh who were most excited to meet Smith because they are avid cricket fans.

It turned out that Smith was relatively acquainted with Bollywood films and some of the top film stars in the industry.

Smith stayed on the sets for about two hours during which he inquired about the process of filmmaking and also spoke about cricket.

In another instance, the movie’s producer kept teasing (in good humour) Zayed and Ritesh during the shooting of certain sequences in which the two actors had to shoot in bone chilling waters of the Atlantic.

Always at the receiving end of Maklai’s taunts, Zayed and Ritesh decided to get even with him. One day, they planned to get Maklai drenched in the same chilly waters. However, Maklai perhaps came to know about their plans beforehand. So he showed up fully prepared, dressed not in his usual pant-shirt but in Bermudas and sleeveless T-shirt.

At the right moment, Zayed and Ritesh executed their plan. They pulled Maklai in the cold water and got him fully drenched.

However, all the fun was in good, friendly spirit. The end result is a great team effort, which Anubhav Sinha assures will be seen in the movie.
