"I have tried my level best to do justice to the character I have played in the movie. I hope I can match upto the capabilities of Mr. Bachchan," SRK told reporters on reaching Gandhi Nagar railway station in Jaipur.
SRK arrived from New Delhi on the 'Blue Billion Express' along with Priyanka Chopra to cheer the Indian team against England in their first Champions Trophy match at Sawai Man Singh Stadium.
SRK told those accompanying them on the train that the earlier version was "no doubt better" as it was the original one.
SRK lauded the performances of Bachchan, Zeenat Aman and others in the '70s hit and said director Farhan Akhtar has changed the first half-hour and last half-hour of the remake "which I like the most" in the script.
