There is little common between Kangana Ranaut and Upen Patel except the fact that they are working together in Sunil Darshan’s movie Shakalaka Boom Boom . She is a simple girl from Himachal. He is an ultra-modern, yuppie-type guy with heavily accented English that comes from years of living in the UK.
Yet, the camaraderie between Kangana and Upen during the shooting of ‘Shakalaka Boom Boom’ in Cape Town has led to rumours back home that something is brewing between the two. Denying the rumours, Upen insists that Kangana is just a “good friend”. She, on the other hand, says she can’t even connect with Upen because he is not her type at all. Interestingly, while Upen says he and Kangana enjoy each other’s company, she says their conversations are mostly one-sided, with Upen doing all the talking. Kangana’s outright denial of any chemistry with Upen beyond the shooting sets is a clear assertion that nothing is brewing between them. They only share a professional relationship. Meanwhile, Kangana is planning to take a break from work. She has been busy with one project after another ever since she stepped in tinsel town with Gangster .
