Not many people know of Salman Khan ’s penchant for painting.
We have seen him scribbling on notepads in press conferences. But there is more to Salman than that. The actor has a lesser-known talent for sketching and painting.
According to Salman’s father, Salim Khan, the actor (Salman) has had a natural flair for drawing right from his childhood. It is something he has inherited from his mother Salma.
Despite having an unpolished talent, Salman never took it seriously until recently when he began taking lessons in painting techniques from painter Nilesh Vede, who is better known for his paintings of Buddha.
Salman’s first painting was of his dogs. Since then he has painted more than a dozen canvases, most of which decorate the walls of Salman’s apartment and his father’s house.
Salman has also gifted a painting to David Dhawan’s wife Lalli.
What are the subjects of Salman’s paintings?
Still life, animals, people and human faces. The actor has also done some abstract works.
Salman is honing his skills with brush and palette under Nilesh Vede. He is likely to paint more in the future.
Another Bollywood actor who has a talent of painting is Sushmita Sen . She recently donated money from the auction of one of her paintings for charity. Salman might do the same. After all, he is known for his good heartedness.
