HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Now Isha Koppikar to play courtesan! 17th Nov 2006  20.30 IST By ApunKaChoice   After Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukherjee , now it’s the ‘Khallas Girl’ Isha Koppikar who will play a courtesan in Kalpana Lazmi’s next movie. The film is based on an old novel called ‘Sanyasi Aur Sundari’. The title of the film is not decided as yet. According to Kalpana Lazmi , the flick will not be like other films on courtesans that show only the dance acts. Rather, her film will be set in the historical times (of emperor Ashoka) when prostitutes had a dignified position in society. The film will be made in a specified budget and will not have lavish sets like other period films. It will hopefully go on the floors by April next year. Meanwhile, Isha, after getting appreciation for her performance in Don , is glad that she is getting a chance to portray variety roles in films.
