Mallika Sherawat’s sweet and sour relation with the Bhatts

Letting bygones be bygones, Mallika Sherawat seems to have decided to patch up with Mahesh Bhatt ’s banner Vishesh films.

The relation between Mallika and the Bhatts (Mahesh and Mukesh) has been sweet and sour. It began with Anurag Basu-directed movie Murder almost two years ago and soured when Mallika demanded a hefty fee for Vishesh Film’s production Gangster that eventually launched Kangana Ranaut .

In fact, Mahesh Bhatt’s producer brother Mukesh Bhatt was so put off by Mallika’s unreasonable demand (some say she asked Rs. 1 crore) that he vowed never to work with her again.

Mallika and the Bhatts parted ways. But the lady-luck wasn’t much kind to Mallika as she failed to give a single hit movie after ‘Murder’.

She then made a desperate bid to patch up with the Bhatts when she approached them with a request to cast her in Woh Lamhe . She even offered to work for a very little acting fee. But director Mohit Suri had finalized Kangana for the role and Mallika had to eat the humble pie. The differences between the Bhatts and Mallika were still not over.

But now, a silver lining has shone through for Mallika. She recently got an invite from none other than Mahesh Bhatt for a party to celebrate the success of Vishesh Films.

Mahesh Bhatt says he had never had any fallout with Mallika. But he does admit that his brother Mukesh and some members of his production house have had some differences with the actress.

Reciprocating Bhatt’s gesture, Mallika accepted the invite.

Mahesh Bhatt says Mallika might work with Vishesh Films again if there is a role and project suited to her.
