It was meant to be just a cameo. But Amitabh Bachchan ’s brief role in Shaad Ali’s forthcoming movie has gotten bigger.
Just a couple of months back Big B shot in London for a song for Jhoom Barabar Jhoom , which stars Abhishek Bachchan , Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta in lead roles. The USP of the song was Big B’s getup and outfit : long hair, a cowboy hat with feathers, torn jeans and lot of fashion accessories (see the image).
Originally meant to be a single song appearance, Big B’s cameo has now been given an extension.
It is learnt that Amitabh will appear once again in the continuation of the same song at the movie’s end. He plays a sutradhar in the film.
Not just Shaad Ali’s film, Amitabh is also playing marginal but important roles in Rumi Jaffery’s first movie God Tussi Great Ho and Apoorva Lakhia’s Shootout At Lokhandwala . Both Jaffery and Lakhia are Big B’s good friends.
