This young girl from Texas, United States, has already had her tryst with Indian film industry with movies in Tamil and Telugu. Now she is looking forward to settle in Mumbai and work in Bollywood.
Her first Hindi film, ‘Kabul Express’, has hit the theatres on Friday. In the movie she plays an American photojournalist who travels with two Indians journalists to look for a story on Taliban in the thick of the Afghan war after 9/11 attacks.
Linda says although some members of her family in the US were not in favour of her shooting the movie in Afghanistan, she still decided to do the film because she was captivated by its script. Moreover, her mother supported her to do the film.
And Linda is full of praise for Kabir Khan’s style of work and his meticulous attention to detail. Kabir has been a documentary filmmaker and ‘Kabul Express’ is said to be based on his personal experiences in Afghanistan.
“I loved the fact that his (Kabir’s) film was so close to reality,” Linda is quoted as saying.
Even as ‘Kabul Express’ makes it to theatres, Linda is hopeful of pursuing a career in Bollywood. She also plans to buy an apartment in Mumbai.
