The dashing John Abraham was nervous when he was shooting for Baabul that also starred Amitabh Bachchan , Salman Khan , Rani Mukherjee and Hema Malini .

A news report quotes John as saying. “It had a full-on cast and every one of them has proved themselves in mainstream cinema. I was new to this set up.”

The recently released ‘Baabul’ had John playing a musician whose love is silent and he expresses all his pent up emotions through his songs. He loses the girl he loves, but is more concerned about her happiness than his own heartbreak.

Apart from ‘Baabul’, John also starred in the last-week released Kabul Express , in which he plays a television journalist covering the war against the Taliban in post 9/11 Afghanistan.

John, whose clothes line-up was released just a day after his birthday, on December 17, is happy that he is being able to use his celebrity status in a different way. And John is an integral part of the designing.

“I'm a part and parcel of every shirt, cargo pants, jeans and top that are designed for men and women. Every piece of clothing will be accompanied by a note inside the pocket describing the journey and philosophy of the design”, John said.

For John, this move into clothing feels like a step in the right direction and he looks back on 2006 with much satisfaction.

“It has been a wonderful year. My calendar and my clothes are a first of their kind. The year passed so fast. I'm now looking at next year. And I can tell you what I won't do in 2007. I won't sign too many films. There's no point in stressing myself. I've to look good in front of the camera. I've a good mix of releases”, John said.
