Former Bollywood numero uno actress Madhuri Dixit has said that she never missed the adulation or the glamour when she was away from Bollywood.
But what Madhuri missed was being in front of the camera.
Madhuri is preparing to start shooting for her comeback film that will be produced by Yash Chopra and directed by Anil Mehta.
“What I missed was being in front of the camera and assuming various characters,” Madhuri told a leading newspaper recently.
“Yeah I missed that, I'm glad to have it back. I don't miss the adulation or the glamour, though it is good to know people still miss me,” said the actress who stopped working to raise her two children.
Madhuri said shooting for the film would begin in January and likely be finished in three months.
Madhuri was one of India's most sought-after stars and stopped acting after marrying a U.S. based Indian surgeon in 1999.
Her last hit movie, released in 2002, was Devdaas , in which she played a courtesan in a saga of doomed love.
