It is like a game of musical chairs. After the news that Hrithik Roshan had opted out of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra ’s movie Dilli 6 , grapevine now has it that the actor has finally agreed to the role.
Mehra sure has had tough time finding a hero for his next movie, which is a semi-autobiographical pic based on his own youth days in Chandni Chowk area of old Delhi.
First, Mehra had approached Abhishek Bachchan for the role. But the actor bowed out after a production deal between UTV and AB Corp did not materialize. Then he approached Hrithik, who showed interest in the subject but had some reservations about the script.
Seeing Hrithik’s reluctance, Mehra had also approached Akshay Kumar for the part.
Now, the latest buzz is that the director had a meeting with Hrithik recently and the two sorted out their differences.
It is learnt that Mehra has agreed to make certain changes in the script as suggested by Hrithik.
So for the time being, it appears that Hrithik is back in the project, but we are still waiting for the official word.
In the meantime, there is bad news for Mehra as his film Rang De Basanti is out of Oscar race.
