Raima Sen will play an important role in actress-filmmaker Aparna Sen’s next movie.
Aparna appears to have temporarily shelved her proposed movie ‘Jewellery Box’ with Govinda, Konkona Sen Sharma and Soha Ali Khan. She is rather focusing on another project with an unusual title called ‘Japanese Wife’.
It is learnt that the film will star a Japanese actress apart from Rahul Bose and Raima Sen.
Aparna first spoke about the project with Raima in November last year. Then Raima went to Aparna’s house in Kolkata to hear the script and agreed to do the film.
“It is one of the finest scripts I have heard in recent times,” says Raima.
The film’s story is apparently based on a women-centric theme.
To prepare for her role in the movie, Raima will reportedly attend acting workshop with theatre personality Sohag Sen.
The movie’s shooting is likely to begin in April in West Bengal this year.
