Randeep Hooda is all set to wield paintbrushes and palette in filmmaker Ketan Mehta’s next movie.
Mehta’s next film will be a biopic on the 19th century Kannada painter Raja Ravi Verma, known for his paintings depicting scenes from Mahabharata and Ramayana.
While Ketan Mehta has been mulling this project for a long time, he did not till now sign any actor to play the leading role.
Now, latest reports have it that Mehta has signed actor Randeep Hooda to play the controversial painter.
Randeep has reportedly already begun preparing for the role. He is said to be taking painting lessons, watching Verma’s creations and reading about the man himself.
What excites Randeep the most about this project is that he will get a chance to step out of his onscreen image after his two movies D and Risk , both of which were cops-versus-gangster films.
