All through her acting career, Sushmita Sen has had a dream role which she aspired to play.
If there is a historical character Sush strongly empathizes with, it is that of Rani Laxmi Bai, the queen of Jhansi who fought the British valiantly till her last breath.
She describes Laxmi Bai as the “ultimate warrior queen” and wants to play the part on the silver screen.
And Sush is taking a plunge into film production just to make her dream come true.
Yes, the former Miss Universe says she needs to produce the movie herself to let the creative process be uninterrupted by the strains of budget.
She is presently in talks with a number of top directors to direct the film. She also wants detailed and meticulous research done to make the subject authentic.
Sush plans to start this project in the coming months, probably in the first half of this year.
