HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Amitabh Bachchan to play a genie 01st Mar 2007  14.00 IST By ApunKaChoice   Mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan is all set play a genie in a Bollywood fantasy based on the Disney classic ‘Aladdin’. This was told to a prominent newspaper by filmmaker Rohan Sippy , who last directed Bachchan’s son Abhishek Bachchan in Bluffmaster . Sippy said the movie, tentatively titled Aladdin was to be set in 2007 and filming was scheduled to begin this summer. “It is a modern take on 'Aladdin.' The film will have a lot of computer graphics and special effects,” Sippy told newspaper. “It has the potential to be a great family entertainer.” The movie, to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh , also stars Sanjay Dutt and Ritesh Deshmukh .
