HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Now, a sequel to 'Kaante'!07th Mar 2007 15.01 IST By ApunKaChoice After rehashing Quentin Tarantino's 'Reservoir Dogs' on the Hindi screen as Kaante , filmmaker Sanjay Gupta is now planning to make the film's sequel. However, the good news is that Gupta is moving away from his fascination to remake international films in Hindi. 'Kaante 2', in his words, will be based on a completely original idea. 
The idea of the film's story apparently came from none other than Gupta's good friend Sanjay Dutt who is also a partner in the production company White Feather Films. It goes without saying that Sanjay Dutt will again be the leading man in 'Kaante 2'. Gupta is reported to have also spoken to Amitabh Bachchan . It is still not clear whether Mr. Bachchan will do the movie or not. Gupta is also looking forward to sign Sunil Shetty , Fardeen Khan and Arjun Rampal for the sequel. Dutt and Gupta will work together on the film's script and develop the story idea into a proper plot. 'Kaante 2' will also have Gupta changing his cinematic style. So far almost all his films gave precedence to style and technique over story. But in 'Kaante 2', story will be the backbone. Style and technique will be secondary. We'll wait and watch.
