Actors and filmmakers in Bollywood are becoming more accepting of lip locks on the silver screen.
Gone are the times when the camera would pan to two birds locking their beaks to establish a passionate kiss between the hero and heroine. The new generation of actors has broken the shackles of the past.
The Emraan Hashmis and Mallika Sherawats of today dare to do what was once considered a taboo.
Emraan Hashmi has deservingly won the title of Bollywood Serial Kisser while Mallika Sherawat began her acting career with more than a dozen kisses in her very first film ‘Khwaish’. And who can forget the recent passionate kiss between Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 .
Year 2007 will see the onscreen kissing become more common. In the offing is Vikram Bhatt’s movie Red that has cute boy Aftab Shivdasani smooching Celina Jaitley . So hot was the kiss between the two that Aftab reportedly ended up biting Celina’s lip while shooting the scene.
