Actress Divya Dutta has turned down a movie offer because she was required to expose more than she is comfortable with.
Divya’s acting career has been on the rise ever since her award winning (as supporting actress) performance in Yash Chopra’s movie Veer Zaara . Today she is working with directors like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra , Anil Mehta and Rituparno Ghosh .
Filmmaker Sarat Chandra had recently approached Divya for a role in his movie Raas Leela . The film has Vivek Oberoi in the lead role.
Although Divya liked the movie’s script, she was not comfortable about the fact that her role in the film required her to expose a great deal. Divya says she doesn’t mind exposing to a certain limit, but the exposure that her role in ‘Raas Leela’ demanded would certainly have made her “very uncomfortable”.
In Divya’s words, if she is uncomfortable in playing her role then it would show in her acting performance in the film.
So the actress politely turned down Sarat Chandra’s offer.
