Indian team’s ouster from the ongoing cricket world cup in the West Indies has not dampened Akshay Kumar’s enthusiasm for the game.
While the ‘men in blue’ have returned home after two shameful defeats and a win over minnows Bermuda, Akshay Kumar is headed in the opposite direction. He, along with his lovely wife Twinkle Khanna and son Aarav, will be watching the World Cup finals in West Indies.
Akshay says he had already booked a couple of tickets for the final match in advance. The fact that Indian team is out of the tournament doesn’t put him off. He says a world cup final is always an exciting duel.
Actor Sunil Shetty , who is also a hardcore fan of the game, might also fly to the Caribbean to catch up on the finals.
Meanwhile, back home in India, companies of consumer products are having second thoughts about signing cricketers for product endorsement or renewal of their already existing contracts.
Poor performance by players like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni will expectedly affect the sales of the products they endorse.
