Saif and Akshaye in 'Race' to outdo each other

Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna will be seen together again in Abbas Mustan’s film Race .

After their remarkable camaraderie as friends in Dil Chahta Hai , Saif and Akshaye are now playing two brothers in ‘Race’. But they are not the typical brothers. They play two brothers in a race to outdo each other. There is a constant game of upmanship between the two.

Abbas-Mustan, who are currently shooting the film in Mumbai, say ‘Race’ is a thriller with both Saif and Akshaye in very unusual roles. In fact, the director duo goes on to claim that the two actors have not been seen in such roles in the past.

Besides the movie’s story, another selling point of the film is its cast combination: Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif who have not worked with each other in the past. In fact, this is the first time when the two ladies are paired with Akshaye and Saif.

The film also stars Anil Kapoor . Earlier, Abbas Mustan had finalized Mallika Sherawat as Kapoor’s heroine. But Mallika was later dropped from the project and Sameera Reddy was roped in her place.

Abbas-Mustan say ‘Race’ is their most star-studded film to date and they are leaving no stone unturned to make sure that the audience get their money’s worth when they go to watch the movie in theatres.

But it is still months before ‘Race’ would make it to the marquee.
