Katrina Kaif is not dependent on Salman Khan

Katrina Kaif says the reports of beau Salman Khan recommending her to filmmakers in Bollywood are fabricated by gossipmongers.

Though Katrina has been part of successful films in the past, Namastey London is truly her first hit flick in Bollywood. Today, Katrina has got a firm foothold in tinsel town, but her detractors still seem bent to pull her down.

For example, stories have been in circulation that Salman has been recommending Katrina to filmmakers. It has been alleged that Katrina got one of the lead roles in David Dhawan’s ‘Partner’ solely on Salman’s insistence. There have also been talks that whenever Katrina has some problem while working with any filmmaker, she promptly calls Salman to help her out.

Katrina denies these reports in strong tones and calls them “fabrication of the highest order”.

The actress says she has been getting film offers not because Salman has been recommending her to filmmakers but because she has been work hard to prove her mettle.

Secondly, she states that she doesn’t need to rely on Salman to sort out her problems. The talk of her calling Salman over every problem is simply “bullshit”, she says.

Today, Katrina has five films in her kitty.

Ready for release is Anil Sharma’s Apne in which she plays a physician. After that will come David Dhawan’s Partner . She will pair with Akshay Kumar once again in Anees Bazmee’s Welcome . She has been shooting for Abbas Mastan’s thriller Race and has signed a Subhash Ghai film.
