Despite the box-office debacle of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom , Shaad Ali will direct another movie for Yashraj Films.
It seems producer Aditya Chopra has still not lost confidence in Shaad Ali , who has directed successful films like Saathiya and Bunty Aur Babli in the past. But sometimes all it takes is one flop to knock a person off the high pedestal.
If the doom of ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ hasn’t yet knocked off Shaad Ali from the big league of directors, it has certainly rang a warning bell for the filmmaker.
Thankfully, the Chopras are still standing by him and have decided to give him another chance.
Reports have it that Shaad will direct another film for Yashraj Films . The movie is said to be titled ‘Tevar’ and will star Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
The film’s shooting is likely to begin in October this year.
The buzz is that Yash Chopra himself met Shaad Ali and had a lengthy discussion with him before giving him a go-ahead for the film.
It appears that Shaad is under pressure to get it right this time.
