Shahid Kapur ’s career graph in Bollywood is on a steady rise.
Despite the debacle of his last movie Fool And Final , Shahid Kapur continues to be in demand. For the actor has signed a plum, two-film deal with ace production house UTV.
According to the deal, Shahid will act in two UTV productions to be made over the period of next two years. Although there is no official confirmation of the amount Shahid gets for the deal, reports say he will be paid Rs 5.5 crores.
This two-film deal will do much good to Shahid’s career as UTV is now emerging as the topmost production house in Bollywood after the rough patch Yashraj Films is going through because of repeated flops.
Sources at UTV say that of the two films featuring Shahid, one will be directed by Ken Ghosh.
Ghosh is presently said to be working on a script based on “a very interesting idea”. Pre-production work on the film is likely to be complete by October or November this year.
The movie’s shooting may begin before the yearend.
On a different front, Shahid has been busy shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next film, which has him pairing with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor yet again.
