The actor thinks it is cool to be bashed and thrashed by little kids.
It was not a real-life situation but a scene enacted for producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s movie Hey Baby in which Ritesh Deshmukh plays a very funny character called Eddy Teddy.
This particular scene in the movie showed a very plump looking Eddy Teddy getting beaten by as many as 100 kids. And playing the leader of this gang of kids was none other than the five-yr-old son of Sajid Nadiadwala , Subhaan.
Before shooting the scene, Subhaan and other kids got training in fights, stunts and gymnastics using cable suspension technique. Sajid Khan , the movie’s director, wanted it to look like a Matrix fight sequence in which kids (dressed in black) beat Eddy Teddy (Ritesh) in a very stylish way.
Because Ritesh had to look plump in the scene he wore a 20-kg furry outfit.
Ritesh says although the extensive padding inside his outfit made him sweat like a dog, it also protected him from the blows of the kids.
Sajid Khan says such a scene has never been seen in any Hindi film yet.
‘Hey Baby’ stars Akshay Kumar , Vidya Balan , Fardeen Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh in main roles. The movie is a comedy about a child and three men.
