After being written off by his detractors, Govinda has made a big comeback to tinsel town.
The actor’s career hit a rock bottom when his home production ‘Ssukh’ flopped at the box-office and left him with huge debts.
His comeback too wasn’t smooth. His films early this year – Salaam-e-Ishq and Bhagam Bhaag – did not set the cash registers ringing. But it is Sohail Khan productions’ Partner that has now turned fortunes in favour of Govinda.
As a result, producers are lining up to sign Govinda. The actor has already signed choreographer-turned-director Ganesh Acharya’s next film, which will also star Irrfan Khan and Upen Patel .
Govinda has also agreed to act in Ravi Chopra’s next film, which will have him pairing with Lara Dutta . The two actors acted together in ‘Bhagam Bhaag’ but they were not paired with each other.
And then there is David Dhawan’s film, the ‘Partner’ sequel tentatively titled ‘Tom And Jerry’ with Salman Khan again.
Govinda says his career has picked up big time after the release of ‘Partner’. But now the actor has vowed to work in very selective projects.
He is also said to be in talks with a noted filmmaker for a dance-based flick.
On top of all, the actor has begun paying back the debts that he incurred from the debacle of Ssukh .
