Bollywood star Akshay Kumar will play the lead role in Hollywood production house Warner Brothers’ first Bollywood movie.
The film, titled Made In China , will be directed by Nikhil Advani . The project will see a unique collaboration between the Sippys of Bollywood and America’s Warner Bros.
Based on a script by Sridhar Raghavan, the film will have Akshay playing a cook who is mistaken for a martial arts hero. Deepika Padukone will reportedly be Akshay’s heroine in the film.
‘Made In China’ will essentially be an action packed thriller with good doses of comedy. Both action and comedy are Akshay’s forte, so his role in the film seems tailor-made for him.
The film’s shooting will begin in China in January 2008 and will be completed by May.
