Not only has the success of Chak De India revived the sinking fortunes of Yashraj Films , it has also brought immense popularity and fan following for director Shimit Amin .
Shimit is now looking forward to an extended vacation during which he will be visiting his parents in the US. Shimit also has plans to marry his longtime girlfriend in the coming months.
Shimit believes now is the good time to get married.
Another feather has also been added to Shimit’s cap because the screenplay of ‘Chak De India’ is going to be included in the Margaret Herrick Library of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (Oscars).
On the other hand, ‘Chak De India’ is proving to be a rage among the masses and classes. Recently, Indian president Pratibha Patil saw the film and liked it.
