Sometime back, it was reported that superstar Amitabh Bachchan may have to shave his head for Mira Nair’s movie Shantaram .
The film, based on a famous book of the same title by Gregory David Roberts, has Bachchan playing the role of an underworld don named Kader Bhai.
It was reported that Mira wanted a bald-looking don for her movie and had therefore asked Big B to shave his pate for the role.
However, Mr. Bachchan has denied that Nair has put any such demand to him. He makes it clear that Nair has not even envisaged him in a bald look.
Big B is not known for experimenting with his looks. He only goes as far as growing a ponytail (for Cheeni Kum ) or shaving off his beard (which he did for Khakee ).
The shooting for ‘Shantaram’ will begin by this year-end. Presently, Mira is at Toronto Film Festival with her film Four Views Of AIDS in India.
‘Shantaram’ has Hollywood star Johnny Depp playing an Australian convict who travels through continents and ends up in Mumbai’s underworld.
