Expecting this to happen, Priyadarshan had kept half a dozen extra dhols aside so that the movie’s shooting could not be delayed. But, much to his annoyance, all these dhols ended up getting burst or broken by the unskilled cast in a matter of days.
At one point the movie’s shooting was in the danger of getting held up because there was no extra dhol left.
A frustrated Priyadarshan took the extreme step. He ordered hundreds of similar dhols from a supplier in Delhi. Within days the dhols reached the shooting unit.
Thereafter, Priyadarshan did not fret if any actor broke dhol on the sets. There were plenty in the store.
