HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD The Bong bonding in 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' 11th Oct 2007  21.01 IST By ApunKaChoice   The three leading ladies and the director of Laaga Chunari Mein Daag have one thing in common – they are all Bengalis. The bong bonding on the sets of the movie was for all to see. Rani Mukherjee , Konkona Sen Sharma , Jaya Bachchan and director Pradeep Sarkar are all Bengalis who felt like a family on the sets. They kept chatting with each other in Bengali. “It was really a lot of fun because Dada (Pradeep Sarkar), Konkona, Jayaji and me were all speaking to each other in Bengali. We even joked that if we don’t start talking in Hindi, the film might just turn out to be a Bengali one,” Rani Mukherjee is quoted as saying. The odd man out was Punjabi munda Kunal Kapoor , who could not understand a word that was spoken. Sometimes he thought that the ladies were cracking jokes on him in Bengali. The three ladies also made sure that there was continuous incoming of the Bengali dishes on the sets. If anyone was left, costume designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee , also a Bengali, completed the Bong family picture. ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’ also stars Abhishek Bachchan . The movie has been shot in Mumbai, Varanasi and Switzerland.
