Bollywood beauty Dia Mirza is interested in exploring the fine points of acting by doing theatre workshops with Barry John.
The actress has long been mulling the idea of joining the renowned theatre personality Barry John’s workshops. And she did just that recently.
When Dia approached Barry he told her that she needed to have a group for him to begin workshops. That was when Dia approached stars like Shabana Azmi and Boman Irani Shabana and Boman liked the idea but were too busy to join the group.
However, Dia did manage to rope in newcomers Jackie Bhagnani, Ankur Khanna and actress Neha for the group. Reports say even Konkona Sen Sharma came to some workshops.
Barry John says the basic idea behind the workshops was to hone the skills about how to approach different roles and how to interpret dialogues with more conviction and confidence.
Dia Mirza says the workshops have been very educating. She adds that she would love to do a play whenever she gets free time from movies.
