Kareena Kapoor decided to give the trial of her forthcoming film Jab We Met a miss presumably to avoid any awkwardness with Shahid Kapur with whom she broke off recently.
On October 16 a special preview of the romantic comedy was organised in Mumbai. Shahid attended with his parents, Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak (Shahid’s stepmother), who thoroughly enjoyed the film.
Kareena is likely to watch the film at another pre-release trial.
Kareena seemed to be very uncomfortable with the idea of bumping into Shahid's parents after all that has happened between her and Shahid.
Imtiaz Ali , director of ‘Jab We Met’, said, "I don't know why she didn't turn up. Maybe she was busy shooting for her film. Shahid could make it for the trial as he wasn't shooting that day. Kareena will be part of some other screening in future."
Inside reports of those that saw the film have been extremely positive. In fact the film has already been passed by the Indian censors with a clear "U" certificate. The UK censors who have also seen the film have approved it with a clear "PG" certificate.
The film is scheduled to release worldwide on October 26.
