Two strangers. They have nothing in common except that they happen to be on the same train. But when they spend time with each other, cupid plays his trick and love sprouts.

It is ironical that the recently separated real life lovers Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor come together to weave their romantic magic on the big screen in director Imtiaz Ali’s movie Jab We Met .

Shahid Kapur as Aditya

Burdened by the thought of having to live up to the formidable reputation of his late father, this young industrialist is full of angst and despair. He is so busy fighting his own insecurities that he refuses to enjoy life. Till a hurricane named Geet enters his dreary, grey world and shows him how colorful life can be.

Kareena Kapoor as Geet

This Punjab di kudi is a truly an original piece from Bhatinda. She is the incessant chatterbox who views the world through rose coloured spectacles and so everything looks pink and beautiful. For her, life is fun and a game – to be enjoyed to the fullest. Nothing can ever go wrong in Geet’s world because she just won’t let it.

Synopsis

When reclusive Aditya meets Geet on a train, he doesn’t know what a roller coaster ride he is in for. Geet talks non-stop, attracts friends and troubles in equal measure and treats life like a game. She truly lives life queen size. As Aditya saves her from one sticky situation, she promptly lands in another.

As they travel from Mumbai to Bhatinda to Shimla, Aditya is so infected by her sheer joie de vivre that he finds himself participating in her most harebrained schemes.

But every journey has to end, and so does theirs. As they both seek their ultimate destination, the niggling question tantalizes – is this really the end of their journey or is it a new beginning?

‘Jab We Met’ is directed by Imtiaz Ali and has music by Pritam . The film will hit the theatres on October 26.
