Mahek Chahal has been part of Bollywood for about three years now, but she hasn't been able to make a mark yet. She has acted in the forgettable film 'Nayee Padosan' and did an item number in Chameli . 
But now, Mahek's career is all set for a turnaround, thanks to Salman Khan who has cast her in one of his home productions. It is learnt that Mahek caught Salman's eye when she was on a musical tour with him. The two got along very well and Salman apparently decided that Mahek needed a second chance to revive her career. Then what, Mahek got the offer to play a role in Salman-starrer Wanted Dead And Alive (remake of Telugu hit Pokkiri ). She also got an important role in Sallu's home production titled Main Aur Mrs Khanna . Mahek says Salman is very friendly and helpful.
