The poor box-office response to ‘No Smoking’ hasn’t deterred actor John Abraham from working with director Anurag Kashyap in the future.
The actor claims he hasn’t lost even an iota of faith in the directing abilities of Anurag Kashyap.
In fact, Anurag and John are already in talks about a new project. Like No Smoking , this new film will also defy the convention and will be a very unique movie.
The yet untitled film will be set in the 1970s, but it won’t present that era like we have seen in Farah Khan’s cinema.
In John’s words, the movie will make youngsters wish they were born in the 70s.
We wonder if John plays a hippie in the film.
The movie will go on the floors only next year.
Anurag is now moving forward to his next project Dev. D , a modern-day interpretation of Devdas.
Despite critical reviews to ‘No Smoking’, Kashyap is standing by his movie. The director insists the film is hard to ingest in a single viewing and it needs to be re-assessed to be properly understood.
