Sorry girls! You won’t get to see Ranbir Kapoor’s dare bare scene in this Friday’s release Saawariya .
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie has Ranbir Kapoor waltzing in just a towel in the song ‘Jab Se Tere Naina’. There is a shot in the song when he drops the towel and reveals his bare torso from behind.
Though Bhansali had shot the song aesthetically, the Censor Board raised objection when it saw the film.
Bhansali was given an option to either keep the shot in the film and go with ‘Adults Only’ certificate or axe the scene and get a ‘U’ certificate for the film.
The otherwise finicky Bhansali agreed to cut the shot because it does not hinder the flow of the story. Getting a U certificate for the film means larger audience.
‘Saawariya’, the first Indian film to be co-produced by Sony Pictures, will have a lavish premiere on November 7. The film will hit the theatres worldwide on November 9.
Besides Ranbir, the film also introduces Sonam Kapoor , daughter of Anil Kapoor.
