Bollywood star Aamir Khan went live on air with kids and also visited an NGO ‘Pratham’ that educates children taken out from child labour.
On Children’s Day on November 14, Aamir took out time from his busy routine for nanhe taare to bring them some cheer.
Aamir interacted with kids at Radio Mirchi studios at Lower Parel in Mumbai. The actor interacted with each child personally and then went live on radio for about two hours, during which he chatted with kids, took calls from fans, answered questions, and played songs for them.
Aamir said he loves children and feels strongly about issues related to them. That is why, the actor said, he has been involved with various causes for kids for last three years since he began working in Rang De Basanti .
Incidentally, Aamir’s next movie is a children’s film titled Taare Zameen Pe . The movie also marks his directorial debut.
On Children’s Day, Aamir also visited an NGO called Pratham where he interacted with a number of kids rescued out of child labour.
The actor got very emotional when the kids sang a song for him that was titled “Maiyya Meri, Kahe Tu Mujhko Mumbai Bheji” (my mother, why did you send me to Mumbai).
