Bollywood filmmakers who had plans to work with Sanjay Dutt are willing to wait for the actor rather than look for a suitable replacement.
One such producer is Ashok Thakeria, who hasn’t kept secret his plans to make a sequel to Dhamaal , which had Sanjay playing a cop.
However, with Sanjay Dutt presently behind bars in Pune’s Yerwada Jail, the progress on project seems uncertain. But Thakeria hasn’t lost his optimism.
There were also reports that Thakeria had approached Anil Kapoor to replace Dutt in the film’s sequel. But the producer has denied having done that.
Thakeria says the sequel to ‘Dhamaal’ will be made with Sanjay Dutt only. No other actor is being considered as his replacement. The producer says there is no rush because the sequel is still in scripting stages. He is also hopeful that Dutt will get some respite from the Supreme Court in the coming days.
Dutt’s plea for bail will come up for hearing in the apex court on November 27.
