Anil Kapoor does have a fashion sense. This he showed by picking his own costumes for his role in the upcoming comedy film Welcome .
The movie has Anil playing a don who turns into a Romeo after a sexy girl walks into his life. The actor had his character sketch so clear in his mind that he decided to choose his own costumes for the role.
Anil decided to wear black costumes (shirts, coats and jackets) for the first half when he plays a don and he chose bright red coloured outfits for the second half when he is bowled over by a siren, played by Mallika Sherawat .
Not just deciding the colour, Anil also shopped for his clothes. And in the parties or social dos, when any dress that his friends wore caught the actor’s eye, he did not hesitate asking them to lend the costume for the film.
While Anil ended up giving a convincing look to his character, he found the exercise of playing his own designer a tad tiresome.
Anil is hopeful that ‘Welcome’ will prove to be a success at the box-office just like his previous film with director Anees Bazmee ( No Entry ) did.
And let us not forget the movie’s real ace, Akshay Kumar , the current darling of the movie buffs, who plays the lead role opposite Katrina Kaif in the film.
