Shah Rukh Khan gets extortion call from gangster: reports 12th Dec 2007

The underworld is apparently not oblivious to the success of Shah Rukh Khan ’s latest film Om Shanti Om .
For, if media reports are to be believed, SRK has got extortion calls from a gangster named Bunty Pandey, who has asked the superstar to cough up Rs. 2 crore. Not just this, the gangster is said to have sent his henchman to meet SRK to make his intentions clear.
Shah Rukh has reportedly informed Crime Branch of the Mumbai police and its Anti-Terrorist Squad about the extortion calls. The police is learnt to have increased the security outside SRK’s residence Mannat.
Gangster Bunty Pandey’s full name is Narayan Prakash Pandey. He has previously worked under Chhota Rajan before breaking away to set up his own gang, which includes notorious gangsters like Bharat Nepali and Ajay Mohite.
So far SRK has made no official statement confirming the extortion calls.
In the past, SRK had received similar extortion calls from Abu Salem in the days he was shooting for Dil To Pagal Hai .
