The actor teams up with director Priyadarshan yet again for an upcoming comedy, which he has been shooting in Alleppey in Kerala. 
And during his stay there, Akshaye did not check into a hotel but hired a houseboat for himself. After the day’s hard work, the actor would go for sightseeing in Kerala’s backwaters. “Kerala is such a beautiful place and I'm charmed by its beauty. There is so much of tranquility and calm in the backwaters of Kerala,” Akshaye is quoted as saying in an agency report. On the movie front, Akshaye is looking forward to an eventful 2008. Year 2007 saw a terrific performance from the actor in Anil Kapoor’s home production Gandhi My Father .
