After Taare Zameen Par one would expect and want Aamir Khan to take a deeper plunge into direction, but the actor is apparently holding his horses back.
His directorial debut has won many hearts and continues to do so even as you read this. But Aamir is not getting carried away by the accolades and is returning back to his duties and commitments as a producer.
As of now, Aamir will be producing two films in the first half of 2008. The first one will be the launch vehicle of his nephew Imraan. Titled Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na , the film will be a love story set in college campus. It will also mark the directorial debut of scriptwriter Abbas Tyrewala.
And in the month of March next year, Aamir will produce another film titled Delhi Belly . The movie is learnt to be a lighthearted comedy to be directed by a Swedish guy whom Aamir met during the making of TZP.
As an actor, Aamir presently has only one film – the Hindi remake of Ghajini for which he will go bald in January 2008.
Apart from this, Aamir is set to act in a film by Rajkumar Hirani , but an official confirmation of this is yet to be done.
About direction, Aamir says he has no idea when he would direct his next film. Presently, he is happy basking in the success of TZP.
