The Khan who isn't interested in Madame Tussauds

While Salman Khan has happily flown to London to unveil his wax statute at Madame Tussauds Museum, there is another Khan in Bollywood who isn’t thrilled by the idea of getting waxed.

That other Khan is none other than Aamir Khan , the man who defies the conventional definition of a Bollywood superstar. He doesn’t attend award functions, he doesn’t believe in aggressive marketing of his films, and he stays reclusive from the media. And he is also not interested in getting his wax statue at Madame Tussauds.

Not that Aamir is feeling smug enough to decline something that hasn’t come his way. Aamir was indeed approached by the officials of Madame Tussauds, but he turned down the offer because it simply doesn’t interest him.

“I have been approached but I am not interested. People will see my films if they want to. Things that don't interest me, I just let them pass,” Aamir is quoted as saying.

At the same time, Aamir isn’t cynical about those Bollywood stars who already have their wax replicas at the museum.

Amitabh Bachchan , Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai have already been immortalized in wax by the museum. And now Salman Khan has gone to unveil his statue.

Salman has flown to London with his girlfriend Katrina Kaif and family members for the unveiling of the statue on January 15.

In a recent television interview, Salman was his jocular self when he proudly stated that after Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi he is perhaps the third most deserving Indian to be waxed at Madame Tussauds.

While still a joke, many of Salman’s fans would agree with him.
