Right in front of the television cameras, actor and MP Govinda slapped a man who, he says, was misbehaving on the sets.
The incident happened on Wednesday at the Filmistan Studio in Goregaon, were Govinda had been shooting for Ganesh Acharya’s comedy film Money Hai Toh Honey Hai .
When the mediapersons were getting ready to interview Govinda, he was seen talking to a young man. Govinda asked the man if he was from media. The man said ‘no’. The actor then asked him if he was from the shooting unit. The man again said ‘no’. After this, Govinda smacked a tight slap on the man’s face and asked him to leave.
When asked by reporters about the incident, Govinda has this to say: “I was noticing this man misbehaving with the extras and unitmembers for a long time. Then he approached me from behind and misbehaved. When I asked him where he was from he told me stylishly that he was from outside. Well, that’s where I told him to go.”
Producer Kumar Mangat corroborates Govinda’s version and adds that the man was warned to stay away from the shooting unit but he kept misbehaving with the female junior artistes.
The miscreant quietly left the sets after getting slapped.
