Aishwarya Rai-John Abraham project yet to take off

Sriram Raghavan 's romantic film that will have the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the dashing John Abraham in the lead roles, is yet to take off.

Raghavan's film is a love story, a genre he will be attempting for the first time.

Earlier there was talk that Ash was not too keen to sign the film opposite John but producer Rohan Sippy who is a good friend of Ash and the Bachchans convinced her to do the film.

Ash's secretary Hari Singh confirmed that she has given her assent for the film saying, "Aishwarya has given her assent to the film. She will be there the day they (producer/director) want to start shooting."

However the film has been delayed several times, earlier the shooting schedule was to begin in December but the director postponed it and now again the shooting has been postponed as the script still has to be worked on.

Raghavan defends the delay of shooting, saying, "The only reason that I'm not starting the film is because I m not thrilled with the second half. I just want to tweak some scenes before I commence shooting."

This constant delaying of the film has left John extremely anxious. John has not had any box-office hit recently and his films like No Smoking , Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal etc have not set the cash register flowing.

Hence he is banking on this film with Ash to give him that much required hit to boost his career again.

John is reportedly getting impatient and has been in constant touch with Sriram and Sippy urging them to start the film as soon as possible. John has even kept aside his dates for this film.

John and Ash were earlier cast together in Gaurang Doshi 's Happy Birthday , but the film got scrapped as both Ash and John walked out.

No surprise John is getting a bit anxious, as he does not want this film to suffer the same fate as his last film with Ash.
